Hi everyone,

First of all I want to thank all contributors to the FT forum! I am fairly new to the miles earning game, but since I started 4 months ago with your help we gained around 500K miles throughout different programs.

Now to the topic:

Every year we pay around 18-20K for our kids day care. We pay in the beginning of the year for the full year, because we get 10% discount if we pay in full. We don't normally have the money, so we apply for a CC with 0% APR for 12 months, that way we are still paying monthly (to CC company). This year it was Bank of America card that gave us 1% cash back on top of promotional APR.

Not that long ago we got an offer with 12m 0%APR and 25K points from Citi that you can convert to $250.

So, I am curious, did anyone ever got a nice miles bonus offer on top of the 12 months 0% APR?

Barclays USAir card was offering 10k miles for a 10k 12 month 0% APR--but I think they've since added back the 3% fee. The fee was waived with my offer in August/September. 40k miles for first purchase, but you'd get that without the advance. The most recent info is in the sticky on credit cards.

Check out the AARP card. You receive 5% on all purchases for the first 6 months and 0% for 12 months. Don’t tell anyone I posted this because I would hate to be accused of actually helping someone.

Both the AA citi cards have offered 0% on BT's for 12 months.

Both the AA citi cards have offered 0% on BT's for 12 months.

But you still have to pay the BT fee. I had the same offers on both cards. Uniquely, my wife had an offer for 0% interest on BT AND new purchases. So instead of doing a balance transfer, I did THE AMEX card route for only net 1% fee and I got the miles for the purchase.

What is the AMEX card route??

The Barclay's LH card has an offer very similar to the US offer noted above. It's in the credit card master thread.
