Anyone had any experience of using this program? In particular using points to upgrade longhaul economy flights? Any info on how likely it is for upgrades to clear?

Hi manord, Rules in every country are different so it might be better in some places than others. This year I have upgraded 6 longhaul segments from Eco to Biz and 2 from Biz to First, so big ^, but all the Eco to Biz segments were Europe-USA, so it was relatively easy to find availability in I(Biz). On the other side a few years ago I tried to upgrade twice Eco to Biz MUC-PVG, and it was not possible in any of the longhaul segments. manord Sep 20, 11, 11:50 am Thanks. I'm UK based. The trip I'm looking at is MAN-FRA-ICN on LH. How do I check for I class availability on LH? When you say rules are different in every country - what do you mean - country of company membership, of airline, of destination, etc? more4less Sep 21, 11, 1:04 am Thanks. I'm UK based. Hi manord, You could check I class availability by trying to book an award flight with miles for the day you are traveling. The difference with *A company plus is that you will receive miles for the original class booked. Also kindly note that your eco fare should accrue *A company points to be eligible for an upgrading. Some heavy discounted eco fares are not valid. In the webpage of the program you will find information of which fares are valid. I understand that in different countries(country of company membership) the points accrued and points needed for awards, upgrades,...are slightly different. rruaco Sep 22, 11, 4:21 pm Anyone had any experience of using this program? Generally I only get any points at all if I am wincing with pain at the outrageous cost of the tickets. SkyTeam777 Nov 23, 11, 7:36 am When I go to the website, the North America tab is greyed out.
