Other Hotel Programs - The Address Downtown Dubai

Hi all

Just want to get the general opinion on what I should do, I'm in the following situation...

We have booked three Premium Club Rooms at the Address, Downtown Dubai on 31/12 to watch the fireworks at the Burj Kalifa from the comfort of our balcony!

We arrive in DXB on 16/12, and then go straight onto a cruise until the 31 when arrive back in Dubai and then go onto the hotel.

With our room rate comes complimentary VIP welcome service (Ahlan) at DXB, which offers an arrival lounge and porter service. I have emailed the hotel and been told that we can't use the service as we don't land in DXB on the same day we check-in to the hotel.

So which of the following should I do...

1. Admit defeat and go without the service we've paid for
2. Push the matter with the hotel management, we have fully refundable rooms so maybe 'threaten' to cancel our reservation entirely (£2000!)
3. Ask the hotel to book us in for the 31/12 and then email Ahlan separately and change the date, and cross my fingers they will do it.

Or any other suggestions?
