Hilton HHonors - How to retrieve reservation?

It always tells me that it doesn't recognize my confirmation number. Is this like the United website where you have to have booked it online to retrieve it online. Or is it just a temporary glitch?

Please Note: Only reservations made online may be viewed or canceled online. For all other reservations, please call 1-800-HAMPTON (1-800-426-7866).

I just reserved a room at Capitol Hilton on phone . However when i check reservation online it says confirmation no invalid.
then i noticed that reservations can be viewed only if u book online....for phone reservations what to do..

I think either the hotel or 1-800-HHONORS would fax or snail mail a hard copy to you upon request.
