Hong Kong and Macau - HKG airport connection/logistics question

Hi - will be arriving into HKG on an Air Canada flight from YVR, then need to transfer onto a Jet Airways flight to Delhi. I will not have any checked-bags, only carry-on.

Will they make me clear customs in HKG then re-enter for the Delhi flight, or are passengers able to stay within the secure part of the airport in transit?

I will not have a Jet Airways boarding pass in hand, but will have checked-in online, so I'm going on the assumption that I can go to the Jet Airways gate and get the boarding pass confirmed/printed there.

Will that work?

Thank you.

It should work:

I was able to transit to a ferry to Shenzhen, China, without passing through customs/immigration.

HKG has airside transit so there is no need to enter HK itself, but you will need to re-clear security.
AC and 9W normally both use gates around the same area (the gates numbered in the 40s) so your arrival and onward departure should be very close. On the arrival level, there is a transfer desk close to gate 36 where you should be able to get your onward boarding pass. You then go through security and upstairs to the departure level (entrance to this is directly opposite the transfer desk between gates 35 and 41).
If you have lounge access with 9W I think they still use the AF lounge which is very close by to where you come out on the departure level and also pretty close to the gate that the Delhi flight will likely use.
