Hi Everyone

Can someone please help me out with a list of all the skyteam airlines that fly from KUL to Europe (pref FCO, ATH, CDG, NCE, MPX) but flexible with other options.

Ideally looking for a one way business class fare from Europe to KUL (have booked the KUL/FCO leg)

My mind is getting fizzled by all sites!

AZ flyes to FCO via a codeshare on Malaysia.

(AZ 7231)

And it is also the most convenient option to all of your other suggested destination. There is China southern to CDG via CAN, KLM to CDG via AMS, Korean to CDG via ICN but it's absurd and more expensive obviously. Ditto for VN via SGN.

Aeroflot also bring you to all your destinations via HAN (with a help by VN) and SVO. But that's 2 stops.

From KUL direct to EU you have only KLM (and the AZ codeshare with MH), but, there are a number of possibilities if you don't mind having a transit somewhere in Asia.

You mean MH flies to FCO with AZ having codeshare with them on KUL-FCO...

I also thought so, but if you want to fly Skyteam only I found only the options I listed above. Can you figure out any different ones?

Yes, that's what I mean. It's quite evident from the flight number ;-)

Well, if the OP won't fly in the next couple of weeks, CI will join ST and KUL-TPE-AMS route will become part of the alliance. It may be expensive though...

Hi Jinxy, could you perhaps change the title of the thread to "Skyteam airlines from KUL to Europe"? In this way others can find the thread easier and it might be more helpful. "Some help required" is a bit vage a title. Almost everybody requires some help here. :-)

Thanks CityFlyer, I changed the title :)

I have booked one way from KUL to FCO, but this time not with a Skyteam as Emirates were way way cheaper than the rest (and MH was very ordainary in July). I won't get no miles from this from what I can see, though I was sure at one stage Alitalia did let you earn miles from them??

Now looking for one way business from any european hub to KUL (late July/early Aug 2012)
Found a terrific price with Turkish Airlines, but they are star alliance and do not want to miss out on miles again, so trying to find something else.

MH don't have flights that far ahead on their site either and AZ doesn't give KUL an option in their booking engine.

You can collect miles from Emirates flights with Alitalia (unless you have chosen a booking class that does not give you any miles). In any case, these miles will not count towards your status with Alitalia.

The cheapest Skyteam one-way I could find is with AF from LHR for GBP 1290 (without fees, surcharges and taxes), which will give you status miles with Alitalia.
Alternatively you could collect miles with Velocity and fly with Etihad from DUS for GBP 1180 (without fees, surcharges and taxes). In this way the one-way flight would net about 17000 Velocity miles and 240 status credits.

I think you are confusing Emirates with Etihad.

You can collect miles with ETIHAD (EY), not with EMIRATES (EK).

Great help. Thanks so much

In the emirates booking engine, alitalia wasn't an option to put my number. Jet was and a couple I didn't recognize. Suggestions for that?

I think ey may be a good bet. 240 credits for that? Wow

Sorry, I did indeed confuse these two here. So Etihad it is for Alitalia's program. (So crediting to Alitalia is pretty much irrlevant for the OP as crediting to Velocity is probably the better choice if he/she is flying Etihad.)

I'm afraid that for code-shares alitalia is usually only opening bookings from a couple of months before the relevant season, so for an August flight you will be able to book from January or February onwards, at the normal J prices viewable if you simulate a booking for the W12.
