One night stand here in Suzhou, so since the PC 4th Q promo started on Sept 15th, figured this was the most reasonably priced HI near Haimen, where I am living and working now, never been to Suzhou before plus I needed to get away for a couple days.
Great place and a decent location, though a pricy taxi ride (OK, CNY44 is not NYC level,) to see the IC Suzhou and Times Square, as I needed some drinkable, only Starbucks but you-try to-learn not to be so choosy here, coffee and some "Whole Foods" type food items to take back with me to Haimen.
As PLT-AMB, booked the lowest category (Superior) on a corp rate, CNY400.19 all in. Check in at the Executive Lounge, 28th floor, UPG'd to an Executive suite, two category UPG, really a large king bed room with a partial divider where the carpet seam is, sitting area with couch, chair, coffee table and small "bar." BK at either the 6th floor Tulip Cafe or at the Exec Lounge, 6 free soft drinks and CNY100 per day laundry allowance. After checkin, a plate of snacks and fruits were delivered to the room. Free internet, all day coffee/tea/fruit at the lounge.
Just back from breakfast on the 6th floor-Tulip Cafe, as when I went up to the Executive Lounge for coffee, there was no egg/omlette station. Great assortment, made to order eggs, good salad, fruits and bakery items, with a wide selection of local dishes and western items. All included in the rate with the UPG.
