Middle East - Enough time at Abu Simbel Egypt

Like many, we were going to fly from Aswan to Abu Simbel in the morning and fly back to Aswan later that day after visiting the site. We have now been advised our afternoon Egypt Air flight back to Aswan has been brought forward. I understand not much time is required. However, my question is whether there is sufficient time to see the site if we land at 10.40am and fly out at 1pm? All earlier flights are booked and the 1pm is the last flight out.

I would say you want about 1.5 hours at the site. So whether its enough depends on how quickly you get from the airport to the site, and back.
