Is it just me, or is there no way to look for a hotel in a city where ALL the Hilton properties (Hilton, Embassy, etc) will appear?

I have been to www.hiltonhhonors.com (http://www.hiltonhhonors.com) and selected Reservations. From there, I need to pick the hotel. In the end, I visited three separate sites looking for somewhere to stay. If I am on hilton.com, it will not show the Embassy Suites that may be in the city...I need to go over to embassysuites.com to do that!

Now, with Marriott and Sheraton, whenever I do a search on a city, I see all their brands, regardless of where I started...

I am missing something with Hilton or are they just not that good??

the good people of Travelocity detest me, but here's what I do...

go to t'locity, hotels, detailed/advanced search... enter the city, airport, address, whatever... enter the dates, etc...

then in Special Preferences, go to Hotel Company and choose "Hilton Brands"... then review the proximity to my search, weigh the pros/cons, prices, etc... you can even show all the properties on a map...

then to go the appropriate HH site and book the tix for my 1,000pt web-bonus...

PS sometimes my "ploy" is disrupted by "Travelocity Good Buy" rates, or whatever the hell they call them... so I do the same thing on Orbitz, but I don't like that as much...

Thanks!

Although logic tells me it should just "happen" during the request phase. No wonder I like Marriott and Sheration more http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

When you get your first search results for a specific Hilton brand, there is a message at the bottom with a link to search all brands. It says:

Not finding what you need? Search other Hilton Worldwide properties.

Another way to do it without having to bookmark the above link or remember how to navigate to it is to go to www.hiltonworldwide.com (http://www.hiltonworldwide.com) and click on "Find a Hotel". You get the same search features as the above link.

Hey, as I've always maintained, their res site is the pits. It used to be very good, but when they revamped it a couple of years ago, it went downhill. Any coincidence in that they are using Microsofts Passport?
