Finnair Plus - Transferring points to family members

"Plus reward points can now be transferred between the accounts of family members. Transferred points do not increase the amount of Finnair Plus tier points.

Don't believe I saw this several months ago when I considered signing up to Finnair Plus.

Has anyone tried this new function? How do they define family, is it just the residents of a single household or does the definition "stretch" further than that?

I have transferred points from my kids' accounts to my account and from my wife's account to my account. (Do I detect a trend here?) No hassle, one phone enough to do everything, points transferred very quickly. I mean, quickly enough to purchase award tickets with the transferred points during the same phone call.

They all have the same address as I do, so I can't help you with the definition of family question.

Doesn't have to be the same address (at least used not to). Transfers between at least parents and adult children have been possible, not sure if brothers and sisters would be considered family. When it's not clearly defined in the T&C's, the interpretation could also change, or depend on the customer rep you speak to, so (referring to your question about the choice of FFP in the other thread) may be wisest to not count on it.
