Practical Travel Safety Issues - More Ineptitude: Public Announcement in AGS

The PA system at Augusta, GA airport says the following (I listened three times to make sure I was hearing it correctly):

"NO liquids, gels, or aerosol cans will be permitted in carry-on bagagge. These must be placed in checked bags. There are a few exceptions including insulin and baby formula."

It does not say anything about 3.4 ounces or less.

This is misleading and inaccurate. Does anyone know what is going on here?

My suggestion would be to use their contact link on their web page. PA systems are not normally controlled by the TSA so it sounds like something the airport itself is doing.

The link for that is here. (http://ags.skyharbors.com/contact_form.php)

Obviously, items under 3 oz are one of the "few exceptions", but not important enough of an exception to bother mentioning in the announcement.
