In the last 6 months I've had several low-level room comp offers on the " My TR" page, some of which I've taken advantage of (in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas). Right now I have "Free Room Nights in Laughlin" and "Northern NV 5 Free Nts", both expiring at the end of this month, and nothing else.
I believe I got the offers in the first place because of one day of high-limit video poker play in early 2010 (tried to make DIAD, lost too much $, gave up). Since then I haven't done anything that would help my status, and in fact I may have done damage this summer by earning a few rewards credits here and there (I suspect they may have started giving me rewards credits for poker tournaments, which never used to happen), thereby lowering my ADT.
Anyway, my question is ... if I'm not seeing any offers expiring after September 31, does that mean I'm unlikely to get any more? Or have they not yet rolled out offers that would spill into October/November/December?
Does it sound about right that offers generated from a single big day of play in Feb 2010 would be drying up now?
thanks for any data points you can provide!

Frequently one can try to book a room (even if it is not a stated promo) and find the room is comped. So see what happens.:) Make sure you first log on to your acct. with your TR card #.

The TR system seems to be somewhat unfathomable.
I have some play on my TR card - a little bit of slots and 3 hours of Table games (fairly high avg bet and for which I got a whopping $10 in comps) - but entering the TR website I seem to have 5 comped nights available.
Any ideas as to what qualifies you for a comped room ?

There's no way you can cruise by without playing and still expect offers. The more you play, the more offers you'll get, it's that simple.

It's very hard to track the Tier Points and the Bonus Reward Points, and I think Caesars does this on purpose. Having been a TR card holder for so long, I still don't understand the Bonus Reward Point part fully. I've started just this year to play $50 min BJ player and at times it seems like my Tier Points fluctuate when I accumulate them. I'll get them at a certain rate on one session and then at a different rate on other sessions. One thing I do when playing is I usually seek out certain supes and pit bosses that know me from my play and most of the time they will throw me some other comps, stuff short of a free room (free buffets, food comps, video poker/slot vouchers).

Actually no, it's really not that simple. That's the sort of answer I would expect from a casino slot attendant....
From what I understand, TR is based on a combination of factors, a central one of these being average play. For example, if you play at $100 a hand for four hours a day, and pop in the next day to run $5 through a slot machine, you have a 2hrs x $100 a hand average daily rating.
I do not know all the details of this - I think that if you stay in a TR hotel , for example, it counts towards the average - so if you stay and don't play your average goes down.
I was hoping for details such as these...
The rate of TR accumulation is laughable, though. I seem to accumulate TR at the rate of ~ 3% of an average bet per hour, which is low - to say the least.

I also wonder if staying without play hurts your average ... It almost seems like that might have changed in the past year or so - only this year did small amounts of TR points start showing up on my account, even though I wasn't doing anything to "earn" them (in fact I purposely avoided using my TR card at restaurants so that I wouldn't hurt my ADT). But the other possible explanation is that they started giving me a little bit of TR credit for playing in poker tournaments (which they did not do in 2010).

I don't believe it will count towards the average if they give you the room comped.

I'm content at times to just grind it out at table games, purely because I'm the definition of action junkie for the sole purpose of the action, not necessarily for the money. Based upon the numbers I'm seeing when I do this, I've found that number is close to a low 2% Laughable indeed.

Those are points for $, off of your room folio. (or as TR likes to refer to them "entertainment spend."
They also do give $ for poker (and I think tourneys); but I'm not really up on those details.
$5 in entertainment spend = one Base Reward Credit
For entertainment purchases, every $1 you spend = 1 Bonus Reward Credit, and your 5th dollar becomes a Base Reward Credit, which also counts towards your Tier Score!
So, basically, unless there is a *zero* folio balance; which I think doesn't happen at TR properties; you will always get some nominal points for your stay if staying at a TR hotel under you TR number (i.e. a comp room). Obviously more points, if you charge a lot to your room folio at a TR hotel.

I would assume these are also laughable insignificant...
I looked up the TR information on other websites. Apparently any activity using your players card - using comp points, using your card to get a discount, even using a machine to check your balance - a "day" is triggered and your average has gone down (if you don't play that day). Even if you viit two different TR properties that day - that means two trips ! (play $1000 at Ceasars and $100 at Harrahs both on Monday - you have a trip daily average of $550....)
It sounds like the system is completely screwed up. However, best to know how it works so you don't get screwed (as much)
