Not sure if anyone has experience on UA international, ex-EWR, but was wondering about the KSML. I know they used to/still do use KoshAir, but was hoping maybe that for the international flight, they use Regal as well. Any word?
Being in Israel, I can't really speak to any of the parties, but perhaps someone else could?

I would assume that a United international flight out of EWR would actually be a CO flight, just operating under their new name.

I have flown several international flights on CO out of EWR recently and I received Regal meals on all of them. I would assume that this is what you wil get.

Warning though, CO constantly loses my KSML requests. Even when I get it for the way there, I frequently don't get it for the way back

Not quite true. UA has service to ZRH, and starting in October to BRU as well. This is a United-operated flight with PMUA metal. Regarding Regal, there are issues with the CO website that sometimes, requests aren't saved. It's smart to call in a couple days in advance

As I understand, the PMUA flights operating out of EWR on PMCO routes are sort of a hybrid. You might get CO's catering.

In what way are they hybrid? I'd imagine they are regular UA flights, since they use UA metal, and have UA crews. The meal can still come from CO catering, but if that's it, I don't think I'd call that hybrid

Not surprised with ZRH as theres alot of top brass of the Drug Companys going back and forth and FC will be paid for.And CO ran a 767 on it.Even LX has announced they will be using their own Metal in the near future, guess those 738s of PrivtAir will go elsewhere

BRU I dont get as CO used a 777 and thought that would be good enough. Could be they need the 777 for some place else, wonder which ac will be used.

There probably will be other routes to follow wherever UACO feels they can sell FC

As being discussed in the other thread, Wow, United (Not Continental) Plane Actually Flying From EWR-ZRH Now (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-mileage-plus-consolidated/1258542-wow-united-not-continental-plane-actually-flying-ewr-zrh-now.html), that seems the reason to fly EWR-ZRH, better competition with LX, which would make sense given that LX is going back to their metal. As for BRU, I speculate it's connected to competition with 9W.

while checking to see if anything better opened for my post Succos return, CO was showing BRU-EWR in Oct as being UA using a 777. So could be not only 9W but they feel they can get officals from the EU or other Organizations based in BRU to pay for the seats, and thusly watch for more routings where they feel FC will be paid for to be operated by UAs 3 class planes rather then COs 2 cabins

So why not, say, London as well?

Also, where are you returning from after Succot? BRU?

Which routes will get UA metal will most likely be determined by if they feel they can sell FC at the going rates. Also IMO London is a heavy Tourist mkt , and there are a bunch of flights each day, while ZRH & BRU is a single flight.

as for my return it was Y TLV-MUC-JFK with an overnight in MUC, switched to TLV-VIE-JFK Y, then TLV-ZRH-LHR-JFK in Biz overnighting @ LHR LX/LX/VS

and almost changed that to TLV-ZRH-GVA-JFK LX/LX/LX with overnighting @ ZRH. But that meant an early morn ZRH-GVA and with LHR I get in @ 9pm and my flight isnt till 2pm the next day

BRU poped up as a TLV-ATH-BRU-EWR wanted to see if the non-stops opened yet alot of seats but Row 16 & 32 are gone so that kills that idea

Sounds like quite the MR! How'd you manage to switch from Y to Biz, or did that cost lots of $$$?

When searching, the EWR-BRU-TLV option popped up as well for my return, and I considered taking it as HONcircle offered to take me around Belgium (layover is 11.5 hours) but in the end, that didn't work out, but the LX option did.

1- this really belongs in the CO forum as its very OT and isnt about KSML

anyway I dont purchase any TLV tkts any longer and havent for a while I get my 1k in w/o TLV, and @ .12 - .15 cpm its where I burn my miles, as a Plat and 1k I can change my tkts and redeposit if need be all I want w/o having to pay even .01. So thats 3 award trips a yr at a min

lets say NY-TLV is apx $1600 ai that earns me 11,344 eqms and 22688 RDMs that same $$ can usually get me if paying w/o any ecerts (which I have a stash of) a min of 4 JFK-SFO-LA-SFO-JFK which is 6186 x 4 = 24744 eqms and 49500 rdms = TLV is just way over priced for my liking
