India-based Airlines - JW partner airlines miles earned question

I recently traveled to SFO from DEL on Emirates and used JP membership (Blue Plus). I was credited some 4000 miles after sending emails back and forth to JP support but i am wondering why these miles are not counted towards my upgrade to Silver? Do i have to earn miles and Sector points on Jetairways to upgrade?

Same thing happened last year when i travelled to MEL from DEL on CX.

Yes, you have to earn miles on Jet Airways for miles and sectorpoints that count towards status. the rest are all partner miles, so they accrue, but not count towards status. Here is what counts:

agree with a2a above....unless these were code share flights you could not earn status miles....
