I received the following email from AirTran today. Obviously, in response to the September 11 anniversary. :
AirTran travelers who fly out of General Mitchell International Airport (Milwaukee, WI) may experience delays at the security checkpoint. Due to the high passenger volume and in conjunction with airport authorities, AirTran is encouraging all passengers to plan ahead and arrive 2 or more hours before their scheduled departure time.
Check-In Options
Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport 2 hours prior to departure. Travelers may also check-in online starting 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time. Travelers with baggage to check may check-in online and then proceed to the baggage check counter when they arrive at the airport.
