MXP - JFK in J = 1590€

Not an amazing price but much better than recent 2000€ +
Guarenteed a A330 but you can also choose DL

Classica + @ 900 / 1000€ is way too much still

It's a midway price:

Y €500 (450-500) / Y+ €1000 / J €1500 (1500-2000)

The same with miles:

Y 100% (50-150) / Y+ 200% / J 300%

Interesting way to summarise but my view on pricing would be

Y = STARTING at 400€
Y+ = STARTING at 700€
J = STARTING at 1400€ during special promos, otherwise 2000€

That will fill up their planes
Y+ is not worth twice Y and its very expensive at 1000€

I don't have any experience on the AZ Y+, but I've flown BA WT+ recently - my first experience on a Y+, long-haul - and Classica Plus seems similar.
I'd never pay 2X for that service. Maybe a sort of flat Y+ fee would be reasonable, but 2x would be insane.

I've flown both and confirm what Alice11 says

Most people with BA only book WT+ so they can upgrade to J, and unless you travel on a 747 the WT+ is pretty much just a very slightly better Y seat..

With AZ similar story - slightly better seat but nothing like a J seat (even old style J seat) so the "worth" is minimal..

Similar story also re: upgrades.

I routinely book P, so if I is available I can upgrade for free (4000x2 miles + 4000 bonus, vs. 12500 for the upgrade).
