Hello,
Taking flight from ATL to MAD on Delta, carry on luggage only scheduled to arrive at 9:15am, hoping to catch onward flight on Easy Jet at 10:10am.
Any thoughts if I will have enough time to clear customs and check in/catch the easy jet flight? Traveling solo and can move quickly but am not sure how big the airport is and how far apart Delta / Easy Jet terminals are.

thanks!

Well, my first reaction was 'not in a million years'.

But Delta and easyJet both use Terminal 1. And you can check-in for your easyJet flight online and print your boarding pass in advance.

So, without baggage, it's just a case of finding your route from T1 arrivals to T1 departures. I haven't used T1 for a while, but I don't think you can stay airside. It's possible that there's a transit route that avoids the need to pass immigration, but someone more local will have to advise.

Do be aware that neither airline will be interested if your transatlantic is delayed, causing you to miss the RAK flight.

Or, to put it another way, there's a significant change of a misconnect. As long as you are happy with that, and have a strategy, then go for it.

thanks Rich, I think I'm going to risk it and try to make the connection. Delta doesnt post their on time performance for this flight, but will have my fingers crossed

Is it DL108?

If so, you'll need to cross your toes as well. Flightstats gives it 69% on-time and 17% 'excessively late' :(

Good luck.

Not a local but I've flown into Madrid several times over the past year. Wehn arriving from the US I'm pretty certain you will need clear customs, even though you are not staying. Since it's separate tickets, you are technically entering Europe to "check in" then leaving immediately. Good advice to check in online. The walk to customs can be lengthy so you may want to motor once you deboard. Early mornings the passport control lines *generally* aren't bad, not like FRA or LHR or whatnot.

Best of luck and enjoy Marrakech! It's a great place.
