Hilton HHonors - Info. on Phoenix Hilton Resorts For Jan./Feb.

Hello Hilton FTers,

Does anyone have any recommendations on Hilton resort-type properties in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area (am interested for an award stay in Jan./Feb. timeframe)?

We had a great stay at the Phoenician last winter using Starwood points. We are especially interested in tennis/pool activities.

You may want to try the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. Had a fabulous stay there in April-May. See my trip report from May sometime. I don't remember how to post the link here, but search under Hilton for "Tapatio Cliffs".

Great time, great pools and tennis courts, along with golf, and horseback riding if you want.

Try doing a search with Phoenix as the keyword. There have been a few detailed discussions on this topic listing the pros and cons of each of the resorts.

I would agree completely with zipual. We stayed 3 nights at Tapatio Cliffs a couple of months ago - it was excellent. But it is important to get upgraded out of the main building, as it is very noisy around the main pools.

I also had an award stay at Tapatio, in early April. If you're going in high season though, you may have a different experience with lounge excess and/or breakfast coupons. The VIP lounge at Tapatio is small and it seems they tighten up access when occupancy is running high.

I thought that I would bring this post forward as we are leaving tomorrow (Thurs., 2/14).

Does anyone know if the Scottsdale Hilton has any arrangements for tennis or golf at any nearby facilities?
