Two night weekend pc reward stay in August (price per night would have been $350).
Hotel is in great area for sightseeing across the road from the pier. As Platinum member parking fee of $27 per night was waived (yeah!) and was offered 1/2 day free bicycle rental (this was great to explore ocean boardwalk). However Santa Monica is full of homeless people and many tend to hangout near the McDonalds across the road.
Hotel is older but room was updated - did have a cityview room but could see the ocean from the corner of the window - also saw the freeway but did not hear it. Pool is nice and warm though it is located below the main floor and next to the freeway.
Good staff willing to help. Lots of Europeans staying at the hotel. Would stay there again.
