Just back from a 1 night stay at the Berlin Hilton. Booked a while back for a total of £90 a night blind using Hotwire.
Presented my gold Hhonors along with my cc for incidentals. Clerk stated that she would give me free wifi because of my gold card.
At the end, I by-the-by asked if my room rate included breakfast, which of course i knew it did not, which she confirmed. She did however at that stage reach for a exec lounge access card and gave that to me, again saying this was because i was gold, and i could get breakfast in there in the morning. There was no indication that she was going to give me this until I asked about the breakfast. Got a 2nd floor room facing the courtyard, but that was fine, it was 9:30pm when I was checking in, and 8am checking out, so a view would be wasted on me.
So an excellent result, incidentally, using hilton.co.uk i could see my hotwire reservation, and it was maked as "HOTWIRE LOW".
