Posting times for this year's Grand Slam can be found in the promotion rules.

Yes.

Its not right after you gain the level, but shortly after. As starflyer says, it says in the promo rules how often they do sweeps for hits. Keep in mind you have to do the activity, then have the points post, then have the sweep run, and then you get your Grand Slam points. They run the sweeps after the promo is finished for a month or so (also in the promo rules) just in case hits come in late, but with an activity date of during the promo.

from the T&Cs:
US Airways will track hits and award bonus miles beginning September 28, 2011, and continue to post miles every other week until March 28, 2012.
From last year I beleive the activity had to post to US at least 3 days before the sweep in order to count toward that week's posting. I could be wrong about the timeframe but there is a delay. This year's seep appears to be scheduled for Wednesdays rather than Monday so that could impact the cutoff time.

Sorry, didn't realize the OP was unable to read the information for himself by accessing the Grand Slam promotion rules on the US Airways web site as stated, and needed the info to be cut & pasted into this thread. :(
As noted by Exiled in Express, the same info is also available on the T&Cs page.

i dont know why you are continuing to be obnoxious but there is no place in the t and c where the info given by exiled is posted.
still if it makes you feel better please go ahead

It's in the last sentence of the third paragraph of the terms and conditions and in the second paragraph of the rules.
Edit to add: I think the concern is that if you're unable/unwilling to read the rules and terms and conditions for something that's pretty straightforward, you're going to be very disappointed when you don't earn the miles you expect because you didn't follow some of the conditions (such as minimum points transferred for a hotel transfer hit, or minimum points earned for a hotel stay).

I'm not trying to be obnoxius, but I'm happy to stop posting in this thread if it makes people happy. rob_flies_ua summed up my intentions nicely. I think people are better off reading and understanding the rules directly, rather than blindly asking for help about readily available published official promo information and possibly receiving and believing incorrectly reported information from a poster.
The information about the bonus miles posting every two weeks can be found in:
Program Rules second paragraph: http://www.usairways.com/en-US/dividendmiles/grandslamrules.html
T&Cs third paragraph: http://www.usairways.com/en-US/dividendmiles/grandslam-tcs.html

Sorry if this is thought obnoxious, but I actually have a significant problem with people starting a new thread to ask a program rules question. If it happens in an existing thread not a biggie I guess. And two weeks before the promo it is not a huge thing either. But this dedicated forum and multiple thread format is going to really get crazy in two weeks and good info is going to get lost if the subforum has 9 pages.
Not trying to pick on OP. It is a question I'm sure many have. But I do think there needs to be some clutter awareness as this promo heats up.
There really ought to be responsibility that comes with a new thread. If you start it, you own it and should update it. If it is a simple one-off question it should go in an appropriate existing thread (after an attempt is made to figure it out). There are no fewer than 3 existing threads where this could have gone. This promo has twists and turns, and most who were solid contributors last year had multiple balls in the air at once. It's going to get near impossible if people start new threads without discretion. I'm not a mod and I don't make the rules, and my opinion is no better than anyone else's, but that's my 2 cents.

I wish more people understood the correctness of your points.

Well said^
Can we have mods delete threads/posts with no contribution?
I suggest a standard response to all questions, where answers are clearly found in t&c, rules or FAQ- just those links.
Maybe make the key threads sticky?

A question related to posting of hits, that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere...when I get bonus miles posted to my account based on 4/8/12 hits, etc...will it tell me what hits got picked up that accounted for that group of 4?
So for example, when I get the 3,000 miles for my first 4 hits, will it tell me that "block" of 4 hits that gave me those miles were biscoff, teleflora, office max, and skymall? Or is there no way to track exactly which of your hits have been picked up in the sweep?
Thanks!

Hasnt worked that way before. I plan to do 3 safe hits, and one uncertain, in first wave, and with others doing the same, we can report what is working. Consider posting time though, as some only have monthly posting- and some even later.

You have to do a manual count on your US acct. Thats how it has been done the previous years. And you know by your bonuses what threshold you have crossed. This could have been improved, maybe with counting hits bolded on your acct or something.

this seems ridiculous
surely theres no way of telling for sure which hit you have missed?
