I am planning on visiting Loreto in the Marche region next year and would like suggestions on any possible day trips from there. I have never been in this part of Italy and want to take pull advantage of my time there(4-5 days).
Thanks for any help you can provide.

When are you planning to come? What are your interests?
The first suggestion is the "Riviera del Conero"...it's one of the nicest beach area on the Adriatic cost, with crystal clear sea and secluded beaches without crowds. Of course this suggestion is good only if you're coming in late spring / summer. Try to google "spiaggia dell due sorelle" and you'll get an idea.
Also there is a famous star-chef Moreno Cedroni who has a couple of very nice restaurants in this area, including a less pretending one named Clandestino, which I can really recommend you if you want to try something out of the usual Italian cliches.
If you are interested in arts, a good side trip could be Urbino, home of Raffaello and with a nice museum with paintings (among others) from Piero della Francesca.
If you are looking for shopping there is an interesting opportunity, as Macerata is one of the Italian centers for shoes manufactures and there you can find outlet factories of Prada, Tod's, Fabi etc at really cheap prices, buying directly at the factory (probably this doesn't mix well with a Religious trip, but you never know...these kind of places are mainly advertised through word of mouth, so in case you are interested you won't find that many information online I guess).
I can tell you that also the countryside behind Loreto is nice, being cheaper and less touristy than Tuscany and Umbria, but still very picturesque.
Of course all of these suggestions are valid in case you are renting a car...otherwise we should work out something by train or bus...
Let me know some more detail and I'll be glad to help...

Thanks for the reply Luca T! You offer many interesting suggestions including the works of art in Urbino.
I will be in Loreto at the end of August or beginning of September and wil probably be arriving in Ancona after connecting in FCO. I will not be renting a car but will do traveling my car or take advantage of any local tours that are offered.
I will be staying in Loreto for about 4 days as part of a private pilgrimage and would like to see other sites (religious and non religious) that are in the area . As this is my first time in Loreto I would like to see what options I have.
