I would guess that the hotel rooms with the best views in SF are on Nob Hill. It's a pretty good location for visitors, though it's not ideal if you are attending a convention at Moscone.

The top rooms at the Hilton Financial have awesome views. I was fortunate to book one last year.

Year 1 - Stayed on 8th Street at the HI
Year 2 - Stayed at HI Fishermans Wharf
This year - Union Square - Larkspur

Who cares where you stay, it's a small fantastic city. Love it, can't wait for the next week to pass and I get on that plane to SFO
