I'm going to try and make this happen, leaving a meeting at the Crowne Plaza hotel at 12:15ish for a 2:30pm flight out of SEA on a Friday afternoon.

Any suggestions on the fastest way to get to the airport in order to make this happen? Chances of success?

Take a cab. Once you get to the airport, look for the shortest security line, all of the concourses are connected inside security. You should be able to do it.

You can leave the Crowne Plaza in a cab as late as 12:45p for a 2:30p flight and still be fine. The ride takes 15 to 20 minutes, max.

I would not recommend light rail, Super Shuttle, etc. in your situation... they are pretty time-consuming. You want to be on the curb at SEA by 1:15p latest. Allow 45 minutes for security... it probably won't take that long, but adopt the worst-case scenario.

Many thanks guys! Anyone know if SEA has a UA elite security line?

Anyone know if SEA has a UA elite security line? Yes. It snakes down the right side of the N/D gates checkpoint. It feeds right into the same TSO podiums as the regular line, though, and sometimes the TSOs make a point of ignoring the elites and continuing to call up those standing in the regular line. So bring your patience.

All UA flights go from the N gates, necessitating a subway train ride out to the North Satellite. Add another five minutes' airside time to get to your gate.

You may also be able to use the elite lines at any of the other checkpoints. I know I've been successful using the central security checkpoint elite line with a UA First boarding pass.

Got there more than early enough. Had time to kill at the bar. ^
