And he has just scheduled a sixth concert at River Plate Stadium.... so he stands a chance at selling over 300,000 tickets during his stop in Buenos Aires... the previous record was held by the Rolling Stones, that managed to schedule 5 (five) River Stadiums...

They have to get some decent performers into the stadium rather than relying on the footballers. :p

Will you be going?

Will you be going?

Ive been invited by one of the wineries I represent.

I have to confess to not being a huge Pink Floyd fan, but given the guy is a legend of sorts and will probably not be touring for much longer after this, I would be stupid to say no. I need to check with the higher authorities to see which dates are best suited for our schedule... :p

If that was then.... (some 10+ years ago), imagine what she would look like in those now.... after various additional tons of lasagna....

Yeah she's a bit beefy now. :D

That was back in the 70's so well over 10 years ago. I was a young naive teenager at the time. :o

I wonder if music from "The Final Cut" will figure prominiently in the concert. It was released after the Malvinas/[insert other name here] conflict with strong anti-war undertones and some mocking of the English response.

Good point..... what Ive been reading is that the show is supposed to be an exact copy of the ongoing tour, but...

As the concert goes, the entire Wall album will be played, no other songs. I saw their first show for their tour in Chicago last year when it kicked off. I've been a huge PFloyd fan for the longest time, except I never had the opportunity to see them in concert. Being born and raised in Puerto Rico, PFloyd never toured there or nearby.

As I got older, I moved to USA, and it was just a few years back that I saw Roger Waters when he did Dark Side of the Moon tour. I saw that show twice in Chicago. I certainly will recommend this to anyone. I'm actually planing of going somewhere to see The Wall again, no doubt of that.

Nice report... thanks for sharing.

Im working on getting Roger to sit down and drink some Malbec with me.... :p

Im figuring that if I can manage that, seeing one of his shows with proper access should not be an issue.... ;) :D

Not confirmed, but there are rumours that they will announce another 2 shows to make it 10 in total. Apparently, the geniuses that run River Plate negotiated a package deal with the company that brings Waters to Argentina and they are going to pay River the exact same amount of $$$ for using the stadium for any amount of days up to a maximum of 12 (twelve)..... given the state of River Plate's management over the past few years, anything is possible...
