they use the $ sign for COP, so COP $ 112 is about 6 euro cents

Ok that's good to know. I can't use this but I'd feel terrible for not saying anything if you were charged $112.50 USD per night!

Cancellation policy.
It is not possible to cancel your booking
if you have selected a "prepaid or not refundable" room type. ^

Thanks OP, we will know if this works,

Grand House - bookable through early Oct via www.laterooms.com
However the flight from Canada to Bogota is toooooooo high compared that from US.
Cheers!

This is fishy or it's a system error, it can't be € 0.06. I also tried to book a double room and get the same daily rate € 0.06, I clicked the select button and took me to the next page also showing € 0.06 but when I read the "notes" it says:
"The indicated price for the hotel is in the local currency of your country and is an approximate price. The exact average daily rate is $ 171.00 and it is to be paid directly in the hotel in its currency. Please note that if you have chosen a prepaid or non-refundable room, the hotel will charge the card you indicated as means of payment.
Please make sure that the dates for your booking are correct.
All the fields in bold are mandatory."
It's showing my Canadian IP address so $171 Canadian is too much. I suggest you double check with them as this non-refundable, I hope I was wrong on this.

Has anyone´found a review of this hotel? Judging by the location (right across from the runway) it might not offer the best nights sleep. At that price it would be perfect for a MR with a next-day turn, but sadly I will have the family with when I am in BOG.
Nice find by the OP.

I don't know how this is going to play out, but I don't like it already. I received 2 email confirmations for each reservation. The first says I agree to pay 171 COP whereas the second one says the total is 27 euro cents for 4 nights. Either way, it says my card will be charged at the hotel and in full if no show.
I wonder who has the first date to check in so we can see what happens before end of October. I would hate to have to go through credit card charge back for different price.

I booked for my friend, 2 nights from 04/10/2011. I put my prepaid-card details, it's only 1€ on the card so if they want to charge it fully as per booking price, it will be ok, if more - it will be declined and I will see online that they tried.

Likewise... this doesn't feel right...
not so much that it won't be honored,
just that, even if it is, do I wan't to stay there?
The answer seems to be no.
I cancelled one of my bookings as a test, it was easy.
The cancel e-mail came promptly, verifying no charge.
It was fun to play, and learn about e-dreams,
but I am cancelling the others, and moving on .... :D

Just had a e-mail from the hotel saying that the rate for a single is 125000 COP a night.
This is too be paid at check in.
So I guess they are not going to honor the e-dreams price.

I can't think of any mistake rate honored in Latin America,
but maybe I missed one along the way... @:-)

What happened with the guy up there that had a booking for 11th Sept?
Seems pretty obvious what has happened, I don't know how the figures get on edreams but someone has loaded the price up in USD then set the currency as COP (which also has the $ symbol)
Hang on no, that is not what happened because 112.50USD is about 240,000COP. so someone has entered the price in COP and somehow missed a couple of zeros, they must have a floating decimal point or something.
Did anyone get the room for 11 cents?

Johnny I pulled the plug on this one. Edreams customer service has got to be one of worst things going.
They said they would honor the rate, but I could not be bothered dealing with edreams customer service.

Wise move I reckon. Although I don't understand how eDreams are honouring the rate if it is to be paid in the hotel. I cannot see a Colombian hotel merrily accepting a credit card payment for about 400 pesitos. That's half the price of a cheap empanada.

The rate was 125000 COP to be paid in the hotel then edreams said they would refund the the difference.
The chance of edreams refunding the difference was about nil.
