Hilton HHonors - Diamond and ALON Award at Waikoloa

I know this has been discussed numerous times already, so I apologize in advance.

Anyway, is it true that if you are Diamond you will be able to use ALON at Waikoloa just about whenever - my understanding is there are no black out dates or capacity controls if you are Diamond?

If someone could just point me to the thread on this it would be great.

There are no blackout dates but there are capacity controls....

BUT, the diamond desk is known to make it happen for you in most cases... even when the extraordinary demand period is in effect.

First call the general diamond res #. If it's not available, call the diamond desk and they will try and force it in. They will contact the hotel on your behalf (could take a few days for a response, but it has been worth the wait each time for me).
