I just got back from Delhi, and several restaurants list Budweiser as a domestic beer. Can anyone explain this?
India - Budweiser a domestic beer in India?View Full Version : Budweiser a domestic beer in India? tacostuff Aug 21, 11, 1:40 pm I just got back from Delhi, and several restaurants list Budweiser as a domestic beer. Can anyone explain this? ukdoctor Aug 21, 11, 2:36 pm probably because Bud is brewed in India now.All bud in India had to be imported before this. http://www.dnaindia.com/money/report_budweiser-pops-open-in-india_1108689 Were you staying in a 5* hotel. They usually class the beers as domestic and imported. I am surprised that you did'nt spot the 'Indian Made Foreign Liquors':D:D Bud in India is worse than the Bud in UK by the way.And I feel that the Uk Bud is bad enough. hserus Aug 21, 11, 8:15 pm I don't know, Bud tastes like its been processed by a horse's kidneys even when I accidentally drink it in the US of A. SQ421 Aug 21, 11, 9:19 pm Bud isn't good enough to be associated with any 'beer' let alone be listed as a 'foreign' one, which are usually sold at a permium in Indian Restaurants. MrHalliday Aug 23, 11, 12:19 am ..because it is made from rice !! hserus Aug 27, 11, 8:03 pm there's plenty of lovely microbrew / craft beers made from rice. none of them taste as disgusting as bud does. hserus Aug 27, 11, 8:05 pm like for example http://articles.latimes.com/2009/sep/30/food/fo-beer30 ByrdluvsAWACO Sep 2, 11, 1:05 am I just got back from Delhi, and several restaurants list Budweiser as a domestic beer. ByrdluvsAWACO Sep 8, 11, 2:14 am Hah, you're right, its originally a czech beer. A Czech lager brewed by a German in America by a brewery now owned by Belgian-Brazilian brewer. :D |
