Have already done the BW feedback survey for 250 pts.
It seems there isn't really a way to transfer points into BW that easily. Nor do I see an option to buy some points. Anyone have a clue?
Thanks!

Topguest.com - register and check into a BW property on foursquare for 50 points.

Apply for BW credit card for the signup bonus.
Not sure if BW is part of Rewards network, but if they are that is a very easy 40 points.

But of course if the OP simply checked into a BW property without foursquare, they'd still get way more than 40 points. So I presume the OP is asking this because they don't have a BW stay upcoming, and without a BW stay upcoming, the foursquare promo does you no good.

You can do one every 30 days (I think that's the interval). When did you do the last one?
It seems there isn't really a way to transfer points into BW that easily.
Actually it's very easy to do from either a Diners Club or Amex MR card, if you already have either of those. (The transfer ratio is much better from Diners Club, but you can't apply for one right now. The transfer ratio is not as good with Amex MR, but you can apply for one if you don't already have one.)
Unfortunately, while you can [U]track your BW points at points.com, you can't actually transfer into (or out of) them there.
Anyone have a clue?
Here's a list of partners with which you can earn (or transfer in) BW points:
Diners Club posts in a few days, so I presume Amex MR does also. Avis posted for me in less than two weeks, but I'd alllow three weeks perhaps depending on what day of the week you close the rental (and it may or may not have to be a "2 day" or longer rental to count, since there's no mention of "normal" earning on the BW website, only about the 1750-point promo).

Thanks so much for the input, sdsearch.
I managed to use foursquare mobile site to check it using my computer. So hopefully I'll get that 50 points to put my balance at 5K for me to redeem it into US miles for the Grandslam promo coming up.
I last did the survey when I stayed at the Shinjuku BW 2 months ago. But I don't have anymore stays since then. So I'm not sure if it'll work to randomly review a hotel?

You don't need a reservation to check in via TopGuest.

I'm pretty sure you can review any hotel you stayed at during the most recent whatever (6 months? year? not sure how long, but many many months at least) that you haven't reviewed before, at bwfeedback.com. You can only done one there every 30 days (30 days since last review, not 30 days since previous stay).
Not sure, if you do one now, whether that or the foursquare will post faster. (The review bonus doesn't post super quickly, but I don't remember specifics beyond that. I've never done foursquare, not realizing you could do in on a regular computer until your post, and not having a smartphone, so I have no idea how long that takes to show up in your account.)

Oh, so this is all for US Grandslam? Well, check the T&Cs on that carefully. I'm not a US miles collector so I don't keep up, but I remember in some previous US promo someone (in some thread I was reading) first thinking that a transfer from a hotel program would count but then finding out it didn't, only an actual stay did. But I have no idea if that's the regular pattern with US or was just one particular US promo in the past at some time. (I don't even remember how long ago it was, or which hotel program it was, just that there was a distinction between stay miles and transfer miles.)
And I have certainly participated in similar promos (where you have to collect things from a certain number of different partners) at other airlines where it had to be stay credit, not transfer credit, to count.

Transfers from BW will count as one Grand Slam hit, as will an actual stay (up to 6 stays for 6 hits). GS terms on their way.

Not true. You can check in via foursquare at a BW property and receive the points even if you aren't staying there.

So I just happened to check my account today, and low and behold, 100 points are in. It's been 2 days since I posted this and I got my points in my account! It was never so quick when I used to credit Priority Club in the past.
Cheers and thanks again lowfareair for reminding me about topguest!

Priority Club seems to be the one that takes the longest to credit for topguest. Best Western, Choice, Wyndham all credit within a few days, in my experiences.

Sometimes if you call the rewards department and ask them for it, they will credit your account. It all depends on the rep as well as your status.

The survey that the hotel send you after you check-out. They didn't sent out survey that much until last two months.
When you book your stay through bestwestern website or call center, and enter your membership # and if it has email attached to it then it will automatically send you a survey.
Here is another option for 250 points.
go to www.bwfeedback.com and select the recent property you stayed at and do the survey. After completion you will be awarded 250 points but be careful if you fill out survey for hotel you didn't stay then they won't award you and may restrict or cancel your account.
Whenver you enter your information to fill out the survey, it tries to match it with the hotel's system so they know it is not something bogus.

In the past, although the surveys were less frequent, they always mentioned in the email that they would give 250 bonus points for filing it out.
Now, lately, I keep getting pestered with surveys that mention no such thing. So I keep intending to use www.bwfeedback.com instead of following the email link (though it's tricky, because you have to wait at least 30 days since the previous use), but I keep forgetting. :)

It may be the case, but the way to get around that is temporarily changing one address to match the other.

I transferred twice last/early this year & never found such a rule. That's a Starwood rule, not a BW rule.
