Hello Flyertalk folks
Have a late October flight to France, LAX-ORD-CDG-TLS, then 4 days in Toulouse, 4 days in Paris. It's officially business travel for 2 days in TLS, but of course, I get to drag along my significant other and do fun things for the rest of the time.
I speak a reasonable amount of French to get by (studied in Nice in college), though my Sig O does not. We're both in our 30s and prefer small, quaint, non-touristy restaurants with a glass of wine or belgian beer and no all-night noise parties. Oh, it's our 5yr anniversary.
We won't have any cars. In Toulouse, we're staying in the city centre, and in Paris we're in the 7e arrondisement (Rive Gauche).
So, if anyone has suggestions for:
1. Restaurants in Toulouse for business colleagues or for 1-on-1 small dinner?
2. Things to do in Toulouse alone during the weekday while I'm off at a conference?
3. Non-touristy restaurants in Paris for small dinners and lunches? We especially like holes-in-the-wall restaurants where they don't speak any English. Nothing too opulent.
Much appreciated. Thanks for your time!
