Hi, I'm looking over Kulula's website and see they allow for one carryon bag of 7kg. I'll be flying from an international flight into Jo'burg before hopping a Kulula flight to Durban.

Since I am traveling with both a laptop and camera equipment,
I am certain my bag will weigh over this amount and want to be sure I can still bring it on the plane as obviously, I cannot check these items!

From my international flight I will have the camera/laptop backpack and small carry on.

Does anyone have experience flying Kulula regarding 1 carryon and 7kg weight limit?

This is Africa, you have no possibility of predicting anything. Sometimes half the plane boards carrying what appears like most of their worldly goods, sometimes Ms Hitler herself is on duty and everyting is carefully scrutinised and all rules are applied without any leeway. No telling what will happen on the day.

what an interesting non biased report above....

you are allowed one carry on but that is determined to be a suitcase type bag. they will always allow a smaller shoulder bag. as long as you do not look bulky you should be fine
