Hilton HHonors - need help with AA plat bonus at Hilton

I have read that AA plat get an additional 500 mile "platinum" bonus in addition to other miles when staying at Hilton. I have called HHonors about this (didn't get these miles on my stays) and they don't know anything about it. Should I call AA - usually the answer is that the point comes from Hilton so I haven't tried that.

I have had the same problem and after countless phone calls to Hilton and AAdvantage, they just point fingers at each other.

I have an e-mail from Adam Burke dated June 7 and he states:

> It's automatically tracked on American's end and kicks in for subsequent stays
> after you have two HHonors stays on which you earn AAdvantage miles.


Yet, after 8 stays in 2000, I still have not received the miles. I am going to write Adam again to see what can be done. Good luck!

Had the same problem earlier last year and emailed Adam. Whatever he did, it has been working in my case. It will be interesting to see when my double miles post on AA from the latest promo, will they be triple miles?

I spent months before I finally got my bonuses last year for numerous stays. Hilton is the one to talk to. It works now.....I have no idea what they did, but I'm not complaining.

If it's still on, you would essentially get 1,500 miles / stay with current double miles program if you pay with Visa?

I've only received the Hilton PLT bonus once, last year, and that's when I had HHonors credit a stay that was missing. I had wondered if it was just a one-time deal or is this an undocumented benefit?

AFAIK, this particular promo (500 extra AA miles per stay for HH VIP/AA Platinum members) has ended in February 2001. It disappeared from AA Platinum Membership Guide too.

I recieved my AA PLT 500 miles exactly ONCE - for a stay on Jan 3, 2000. 62 stays and numerous emails later (both to HHonors and AA) I have not recieved ANY OTHERS. I too was told that it would be fixed, but it hasn't been.

By my count 62 stays x 500 miles = 31K miles and it's a running total since I'm still staying at Hiltons every week.

My last 3 emails to HHonors have gone unanswered. Not a great way to treat a Diamond level guest, especially given the current travel climate.
