I'm very curious as to how one earns this status.

The only info I could find was on the Grupo Iberia website:

The prestigious Spanish business weekly Actualidad Económica listed the new Iberia Plus Platinum 10 card amongst "The 100 Best Ideas of 2009". Iberia issued the Frequent Flyer card to the 95 people who have flown the most with the Spanish airline since the Iberia Plus loyalty programme was created in 1991. They averaged 50 flights per person/year, although a few exceeded 250 and some made more than 300 trips on the Madrid-Barcelona Puente Aéreo shuttle. The Platinum 10 card is valid for 10 years, without having to be renewed, and the points collected do not expire during that time.

Do we know anything else about this exclusive status? I.e. how to attain it, special perks (pictures of the card :D?)

One flies - ¡muchísimo! - in Business or Business Plus. You "just" have to be one of Iberia's 10 best (flies most segments) in Business and Business Plus, as described in various releases and articles, including this one (http://www.tusdestinos.net/actualidad/actualidad/iberia-plus-entrega-la-platino-10-a-sus-mejores-clientes.html):

"The 95 customers who have flown the most on Iberia since the creation of the Iberial Plus programme... have been awarded the Iberia Plus Platino 10 card in recognition of the confidence they have put in the company. The customers have flown an average of 50 flights annually, though some have flown as many as 250 flights, or 300 on the Puente Aéreo.

Each customer has accumulated the points equivalent to having flown, on Iberia alone, the equivalent of 232 flights in Business Plus or close to 3,000 segments on the Puente Aéreo en Business Class."

and one gains a lot - note the oneworld Emerald status depicted on the card, for 10 years:

limo service (to and from the airport, is assumed)
IB and oneworld VIP lounge access for the cardholder and a companion
VIP parkingat MAD and BCN
20 kg / 44 lbs extra free baggage allowance
20% bonus points on all Iberia flights
broad coverage travel assistance insurance when flying abroad
exclusive assistance through the Iberia Plus Platino centre
checkin at Business counters regardless of class flown
automatic preferred seat selection
points accumulated whilst having this card to not expire and may be used at any time during the ten years card is valid

Sounds like BA Gold Guest List with Concorde Room access, except the expiry.

With the same owners, that should come as no surprise. :)
