AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - What to do with A+ credits

Hi there,

I have accumulated around 8 credits over the last few months, mainly through the Crowne Plaza. I fly a lot on WN, but have a FL BOS-DFW (through ATL) coming up next Friday.

Should I spring for 4 points to upgrade (covers both legs, right?)?

Or, should I use the 8 to book an award flight, and replace one of my WN flights?

Side note, my connection in ATL is 40 mins, and it is the last flight of the day. The upgrade will allow me to exit first and help make the connection, and if I miss it the free booze will console me.

If you upgrade it will cover both legs of the flight. Either choice sounds good.

I can see either way. The upgrade would definitely be worth it as that's something silly like 4-5 hours onboard. However, if they don't expire too soon, you might play the wait and see game and see what WN gives for them. Obviously the free OW will save you some cash in the near term though, so it really depends on whether you'd pay half of the OW fare for the comfort and drinks.

Either option is a wise use of those credits.
