San Francisco - SFO United Club
We are traveling for a weekend trip to San Francisco and have a US club membership. We are not familiar with SFO. United has a club at SFO in terminal 3, does anyone know if we have to go through security 2 times, once to the club and once to US Airways terminal? Is there transporation between terminals? Any information is appreciated.
Thanks

Moving this over to the San Francisco forum, where it should get better visibility, and hopefully some good replies.
Thanks!

Yes, you would have to go through security twice with that approach since the United clubs are either in T3 or the Int'l terminal and US air is in terminal 1.

If you want to pay, there is an Alaska Airlines club in T1. The pass is $45. Otherwise, as previously posted, you will have to clear TSA twice.

There use to be a transfer shuttle though I think they got rid of that once CO moved over to T3.
I do not know if the shuttle is still in existence for getting between UA and US flights, but you could not ride it if you did not have a boarding pass, at least back then. I once came in on UA and I wanted to ride over to US to wait for my boyfriend's flight and they would not let me on.
Hmm, there is a shuttle listed on the UA SFO map. It is in a different location on the UA side then before. Not sure if that means they've change the BP requirement. Although it might work in this instance. Go through Int'l security on the UA side, use the RCC, then ride the shuttle over. Might want to find out the hours the shuttle operates though.

Do the UA clubs have showers in SFO? I see nothing listed on UA.com.

Presume that when you say "club" you mean "RCC." The answer is "no" unless there's a leak in the ceiling.

No showers, but they have some large, individual bathrooms so that if you needed to freshen up you could have a sink and some privacy for as long as you needed it. Not as good as a shower for sure, but way better than a bathroom with multiple stalls and 2 sinks.
