Thx keno0000000 Aug 17, 01, 7:10 pm If it's the one by the Airport (on MacArthur), it's not that pretty of a hotel on the outside, but I've never been inside of it. There is a nice Embassy suites on Dyer which is about 5 miles from the OC airport that is a nice hotel, both on the inside and outside http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Originally posted by stevenl57: More business travel, more chances to get my 4 stays... anyone been there? Its nothing special but it is located close to South Coast Plaza (shopping) and Newport Beach and lots of coastal cities. There is a great Japanese mall across the street called Mitsuwa which is very interesting. The Red Lion used to have these parties on Thursday nights and HOT HOT HOT women would be everywhere. I don't know if they are continuing with the tradition. I live in the area and know it very well so feel free to e-mail me at fkcfkc@hotmail if you have more questions. Orange County rules! suzieq Aug 18, 01, 9:46 am The executive "lounge" is not open on weekends @ Hilton on MacArthur (across from AP). Last I know, services were available @ Costa Mesa. Embassy Suites did have free parking, both Hiltons charged. Karen2 Aug 18, 01, 10:04 am I was just there in April. I liked the hotel just fine and they served HOT breakfast in the lounge! My friends traveling with me were dazzled since they were not into all the stuff we all are and had never been in a lounge before! One desk guy gave me flack over my two rooms since I wanted lounge privileges for both. HHonors is telling me it is up to the hotel whether they give privileges to your 2nd room. Here's where they were truly awesome. One of my friends was dropped off by her husband after vacationing in San Diego. He took off for home near SJ mistakenly taking her suitcase with him! Like any red blooded American woman, she went shopping at South Coast Plaza. However, she was out some meds she really needed. The concierge helped her find a pharmacy that would get her prescription from Kaiser and the Hilton limo, at 9 PM, drove her to the pharmacy to pick them up. NOW, that was service! Hilton also has a list of all the restaurants in South Coast Plaza. We found the location to be excellent. jabez Aug 21, 01, 10:32 am I'm not positive, but I thought that this was recently a Doubletree. If so, it's a nice business hotel. I stay in that area quite often. I especially like the Doubletree Suites properties in Orange County. There's a new Disney Embassy Suites that will soon be opening. I understand that it will be very nice. doc Oct 9, 02, 8:13 am Hilton Costa Mesa Begins $14 Million Renovation Project The Hilton Costa Mesa is excited to announce the commencement of a $14 million renovation to their 486-room, full-service property -- one of Orange County's largest hotels.
