Good find. When deposited into your Priceline account it does not expire until December 31, 2011 (and it's good for bids up to 11 months from the date you bid).

3-star and up, min 2 nights, only $6 per night..Priceline has from time to time this year had $5 off up to $25. The last one, within the last 2 weeks, was any star class but it had to be used THAT day. At least this can be deposited into your account for up to almost 5 months.

I don't know what the new Entertainment 2012 books are offering but the Entertainment 2011 book was $20 for 3 nights (or more)...3* or better...flat offer.

How are other people getting this to last until December?

When I tried to claim that updated extra $20, it said the bonus cash had already been used. I wonder from where they got that link?

Hmm. Sorry to hear. I don't know. The coupon in the account says "As a CitiŽ cardmember, use this Bonus Cash to get $20 toward your next qualifying Name Your Own PriceŽ hotel reservation." I'm not a Citi cardmember of course.

I notice the Dealnews site, in regards to the extra $20 Citi bonus cash, claims "It stacks with the above offer." Is that true? Can you really stack the $20 with the $6/nite from the one-day offer on a single bid? That would make a total of $44-off a four-nite stay.

i agree guys, this is what i get for jumping the gun and not reading the fine print. But hey, for someone that was looking to book a week stay it ain't so bad, $42 is better than 0, right.

I suppose the $20 is a much better deal, off a one night stay. I am a Citicard member, but haven't tried the coupon yet, will confirm back if it says "already used" for me as well.

With one reservation or with two separate reservations?
3 nights = $20
7 nights = $42

The deal is OK ... but not great.
Anyway, WrLdTrvLnIndian thanks for posting this!

BTW, I saved a lot more with this:

24-Hour Hotel Sale: $42 Bonus Cash

Your $42 hotel Bonus Cash has been deposited into your account and expires on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:59 PM ET.

RustyC
Aug 10, 11, 4:17 pm
I signed up for all 3 plus the one 2 posts previous, but under "My Rewards" it's just showing 2 of the four with the one that expires Aug.11 (the least valuable). But, as was said, it's easy enough and painless enough to do, so thanks to the OP.

If y'all are familiar with their Entertainment coupons, the typical drill is to enter your card number and you get a coupon deposited for up to $20 with the 3-night/3*+ restriction (effectively $6.67/night off in the best case). This is far less generous than what they used to have at $10-off/night up to 10 nights at 2*+, but I guess that's what happens when your market share reaches a certain size. I used my last Entertainment coupon to take $6.67/night off 3 nights in PHX at the 3* Radisson at a bid of $29++. Every bit helps.

"Hi! We see that you recently claimed a $42 Hotel Bonus Cash reward via a link posted on dealnews.com. Thanks for taking advantage of this great offer. Unfortunately, we made a mistake. The offer posted was due to expire on 8/11/2011 11:59pm ET. However, due to a glitch, an expiration date of 12/31/2011 11:59pm ET was displayed. We have fixed the issue and the Bonus Cash now shows the correct expiration date.

Our mistake means it's your lucky day. Since the offer showed a December expiration date for a few hours, we are going to honor the extended expiration date. We will be depositing another Bonus Cash coupon into your account within the next few days. It will be for the same dollar value as your previous deal: $6 per night up to $42, and will expire on 12/31/2011 11:59pm ET. Like we said... your lucky day!"

If you got this email (which I did), does it mean they will let you use the current one that expires in August 11th, and then deposit another one that expires in December? That would be nice :)

I agree and also got the same email. I lot of people trash PL but I've had good experiences. On two occassions where I had an issue with the actual hotel they in one instance fully refunded my stay and in the other situation partially refunded. PL does have a sense of good customer service not just "we get you a hotel room, what else do you expect."

I just signed up and gotten all the Bonus Cash today (Thursday). And the expiration date for the initial $42 expires (one page says) midnight TODAY (not Aug 10). Other bonuses expire much later.

Edit: upon studying the offer, it's no BFD at all. The "$42 Bonus" offer is only $6.00 per night bonus. The Citibank $20 offer sounds better if you're only booking 2 nights.

RustyC
Aug 11, 11, 8:14 pm
Well, I didn't get the e-mail for the longer expiration, though I could swear the first one I signed up for still said Dec. 31. Maybe signing up for others overrode that.

Anyway, I used the Aug. 11 one for a $49+6 bid for resort level in Cancun, 4 nights in late Sept., and got the Westin Resort & Spa ($237 a-i). Have never been to Cancun, but location for hotel looks OK. Tip is on a Spirit 5K mile off-peak award (their much-oversold credit card thingey, but heartening to know it can be redeemed).

Now if the weather just cooperates. Trips out there at that time of year are low-demand for a reason, I s'pose.

I looked in my offers and I had a 4x $8 coupon that was better (3 star or better). Tried some bids, but nothing great. Might try in 24 hours.

The Citibank offer is for 3-night minimum stays and it's $20 total, not $20/night. So it's not MUCH better than the $6/night bonus, and in fact on 4+ night stays, it would be worse.
