AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Question on using ThankYou points for Airtran ticket

If I use Citibank ThankYou points to get an Airtran economy ticket, can I then later on redeem 4 of my A+ credits to get moved up to business class? :confused:?

Yes. As far as I know, you can upgrade an economy ticket no matter how you got it.

Drummer is correct - you can currently upgrade to Biz class with 4 credits regardless of the way you received your coach ticket.

Thanks for the reply; I booked it with the ThankYou points. I got an email shortly thereafter with what appears to have an "Airtran-style" confirmation number. But it wasn't. Then I logged on to Airtran a day or so later and sure enough, the booking shows up under "my bookings" with an Airtran confirmation number.
