Hilton HHonors - So you thought Hilton's value rates were the best rates for miles and points...

As I was in SFO for a few nights, I scanned some value rate for flipping hotels to maximize stays. The first few were easy. Aug 10-HGI-San Mateo Aug 11-HGI Mountain View ( It sucks ).

Being a little lost after that, I kept scanning rates for some deals and this came up. Booked it. Confirmed and double confirmed. The rate has been moving back and forth like mad. Was 84, few minutes later 184 and now back to 84.

The link would not work as it is a query. If you pull up HGI San Mateo for Aug 12 for one night, it should pull up as a standard rate of 84 and a value rate of 169. The Aug 13 has been corrected.

I had similar problems with the website recently.
Right now, I am fighting with two hotels over the rate as they are not willing to honour my confirmed rate from hilton.com.
I sent an e-mail to the FT e-mail address and Adam Burke...

Happened with the Santa Clara, CA Hilton as well. Showing $79 midweek for next March but when my friend took her conference to them, they would only give her $99. Said it was a mistake that they would correct immediately. That "mistake" was on for almost a week before they bumped the March rate to a whopping $189! Their online reservations are showing error messages all over the place. Crash and burn time.
