Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Anywhere to leave bags at HKG?

We're flying in J from US, connecting to BKK. We've got an 8 hour layover, so will be heading into Hong Kong, would like to leave our carry-on bags somewhere so we don't have to carry them all day. Any ideas?

As you are arriving in J, you will have access to The Arrival lounge, landside at HKG. They can hold luggage for you. Retain your BP for entry.

Is J class admittance into The Arrival lounge a new benefit? IIRC it used to be F only, plus GO and above.

So says the link above... I've never tried personally, as I enter on OW Emerald status (which feels very generous when I visit after flying some cheapo-creepo coach fare TPE-HKG)

The link does say so, but I find it hard to believe. If all J pax were admitted the lounge would be way overcrowded. It is a tiny space with only 8 showers; there is no way it can handle such a volume barring a major expansion, especially during the early AM when all the long-hauls come in. And you still have regional flights that get access too.

I cannot see how you can arrive in Aircheapo and gain access unless you are transfering to CX/KA same day.

I'm referring to cheap coach fares that are often available TPE-HKG r/t on CX. It's very generous for CX to provide Arrivals lounge access on all tickets to OW Emerald, including those that are short and inexpensive.
