I am trying to book my daughters honeymoon night at a Hilton. When I check for availability, it shows none when I only put in one night. If I choose 2 nights, I can reserve.
She doesn't need the second night. What else can I try? Thanks.
safetymom -- Some locations require a minimum of two nights stay. You can try calling them directly and pleading your case.
On the other hand, one night is an awfully short honeymoon, don't you think? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

My daughter is flying out of town the next day so they will have the rest of the honeymoon in Florida. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The web site is often programmed this way for some reason unfathomable to me. If I see it I will call the 800 number and almost always get the single day I want with reservations.
I am giving up calling most hotels directly as so often they IMMEDIATELY re-direct the call to the 800 number anyway. Now I get telephone charges AND wasted time ending up finally with the formerly-free call reservations at the 800 number.

That usually happens only "after hours", when hotel's own reservation desk is closed.
