I'm hoping someone can send some advice or input on a recommended hotel for a single night's stay in Hong Kong in Oct?
I'm getting of a ship on 08 Oct and flying out 09 Oct but would like to see what the city has to offer without breaking the bank.

I've got the IHG promo in my back pocket but if anyone has any other suggestions I'd appreciate the input.

Cheers!

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_4 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8K2 Safari/6533.18.5)

How much budget and when is your ship arrival / flight departure time? That can give us a better idea before we send in information.

On a super budget side panda hotel or some tsing yi hotel to boot, and I had a 2 month stay at royal view hotel and it has been ok (they are HKD 600 ish on hotels.com as I recall)

Budget is around the $200 USD/night range which i know isn't cheap but its not the most expensive i've seen either. Arrive in the morning of the 8th and fly the morning of the 9th so something with a decent harbourview would be nice but not a necessity.

Thanks!

If harbor view is "Required" then Inter Contential / Shangrila / Shearton Tower / Peninsula / YMCA / Four Season / Excelsior, Most if not all are outside your budget

InterCon Grand Standford may be a OK fall back, Langham Place is a nice hotel to stay and feel the downtown HK minus the view. L Hotel Causeway Bay also OK and if you have early flight out Marriott SkyCity will be a nice airport hotel. IMO try search on hotels.com for the price range of 1000 to 1400 HKD there are plenty of choices and most of them are pretty nice ones
