Anyone stayed here? It's been sitting at the top of the TripAdvisor listing for Paris for several years and is sufficiently expensive that I assume someone here has visited ;) yet I never see it mentioned in the threads about where to stay in Paris.

Thanks for your post. I believe that you will be better served if I move your thread to the Paris Forum.

Might I ask why? It's certainly a luxury hotel and there are plenty of threads in the Luxury Hotels subforum dedicated to individual properties...
There is no review on Star Service, although Jays-Paris is listed. It's the ultimate boutique property, just 6 suites. Located in the 16th arr. about a half mile south of the Etoile, it's not the greatest location for leisure travelers. While some of the suites look attractive on their website (http://jays-paris.com/) — they're not up to the standards of hotels like the George V, Le Meurice, or Le Bristol. The price point is between 450€ (for a Superior Suite) and 750€ (for a Deluxe Suite). I note from the website that the Superior Suite has only a step-in shower (no tub), and the Deluxe Suites have bathtubs with overhead showers... so not up to true luxury standards here. Also, no square footage is provided for the "suites," so I tend to be suspicious... caveat emptor.
The cancellation deadline is a whopping 30-days, and availability seems to be extremely scarce (logical, given that there are only 6 rooms). Breakfast is not included in their room rates.
Thanks for your input, David!
