US Airways Dividend Miles - Apparently CLT is melting down today

Tried calling in to book a *A award, automated phone system is kicking me out saying "too many phone calls".

No FAA ground stop at CLT, but lots of red and orange on Flightstats, and cancelled flights. We had massive storms here earlier today. Made the news on the Cable News Networks for flooding. We just got drilled with rain.

Lots of localized flooding.

Ah, that makes sense. I've been in weather stops due to thunderstorms... in LAS. :eek:

My buddy's happy...he was going to have to change his Friday PM flight via CLT to FLL and was going to eat the $150 fee...then he gets the call...YUL-CLT at 1723 cancelled....so, saved the $150 and got reprotected on Sunday AM which he would have otherwise paid for.

The Clt ramp was closed for around 3 hours earlier in the day as a storm was pretty much stationary over the airport. Makes it kinda hard to catch up. There will be lots of folks sleeping in the airport tonight.
