South America - Time to clear customs/security in Santiago SCL?

Just curious if anyone has an idea how long it might take me to clear customs and security in SCL on a Sunday night in September. I'll have been in Chile before so I'll have the stamp (and paid the fee).
I'll need to make a connecting flight and am not sure I'll be able to check my bags through (EZE to SCL will be either Aerolineas or LAN, SCL to DFW is booked already on AA). Pretty sure that will mean I'm clearing customs and back through security.
TIA.

If you are flying LA/AA they can interline your bag (just show them both receipts when you check in @ EZE) and you can just go through transit security. AR/AA I don't know, and AR is so unreliable, you'll likely misconnect in any event.
If you are sitting in Y, you should plan at least 2 hours (if you can't interline). The big issue is that you don't get back upstairs to AA check-in before the cutoff time for check-in and baggage. (You'll need to verify the time restriction). You then need departure passport control and then security (the security line is short because the passport control booths seem to be a good regulator - but that can take awhile).
In the evening, I'd figure that from the time you walk off the plane until the time you are through all arrival formalities should be about 30-40 minutes.

Thanks Eastbay!
LA's website is totally screwy today, and so was Orbitz, Travelocity to book any of the flights I wanted. Fares are coming up all over the place and flights are disappearing. All I could see in the end for a decent itinerary that doesn't kill my day was one for $US 595. Ouch.
So I'm rolling the dice on AR, in/out of AEP for $US 224. It's a 1:45 connection time. Gulp. I'm definitely going to just go carry-on and probably have to say "perdon" a lot in Santiago.

Plan for 1.5 hours, but it should take about 30 minutes (if not less since you have paid the visa fee).

Be wary of strict carry on restrictions on AR (weight and size). LA is also pretty strict.
