Religious Travelers - Catering out of Ben Gurion

Does anyone know about the supply of catering out of Ben Gurion? Are there a number of suppliers depending on airline etc?
Basically a friend has asked about the 'kashrut' of the meat being served on British Airways out of Israel. Regular meal not the kosher. They are conservative and will eat meat in Israel in non-kosher restaurants on the basis that all the meat slaughtered in Israel is kosher. Obviously most orthodox would not do this and im not looking for comments to that effect (and of course there are issues as to whether the meat is cooked with dairy and in non kosher utensils etc.)
But ultimate question - is the meat being served on BA out of Israel likely to be 'kosher' meat? This is first class, if that matters.

I would say there is a good chance meat is not kosher. I have seen pork served in F class (albeit on LH) which was catered in TLV. Hence I don't think you can assume the meat is kosher...
I think there is just one non-kosher caterer for all airlines in TLV

Not only are there actually multiple non-Kosher caterers ex-TLV, not all airlines get their food from Israel!
The chance that the meat is slaughtered properly is actually pretty good. But there's also a chance the meat won't be kosher meat, such as pork which was mentioned before. I've seen lobster many times offered, which of course isn't Kosher

On LH and LX, the menu card explicitly states that no pork will be served on board. I don't see why non jews can't get their pork, who cares.

No Pork, but they do serve ham (at least in first class!)

That is exactly the question that I was getting at - perhaps I phrased my question poorly.
Of course the pork / lobster etc isnt kosher. In most non-kosher restaurants in Israel (even those that serve pork and shrimp), the meat itself is most likely to be kosher.
My question is if anyone knows whether BA F catering out of Ben Guion is sourced in Israel and therefore whether the beef is likely to have been slaughtered kosher.

just since a cow is slaughtered by a reliable person doesnt mean its kosher, after its slaughtered and checked it may be found to be with 1 of the many things that would render it non-kosher. that cow isnt simply thrown away but probably is sold to those outlets that dont use kosher meat.
So if all your friend is interested in is that the meat came from an animal whose meat in the end maybe kosher a cow rather then say a horse, thats 1 thing , if they want meat that in and of itself is kosher is something different and to be assured of that they must order a kosher meal.
would they go into any supermarket and buy beef which must come only from a cow? if not then theres plenty of non-kosher meat that can be found in Israel, unfortunately

Maybe because they get their food from an Israeli caterer that doesn't have pork?

You'd have to call BA directly to ask where the food is catered from

As OP stated, his friends' main concern is whether or not the food is slaughtered Kosherly. After that isn't as much of a big deal
