Well, maybe this one can be helpful in the future for others.

I'll have two IB flights this month, one on a A320 and one on a A321.

On the A320 it seems that the 1 row exists only for 1A, 1C. On the seat map it seems that there is no 1D,1F. Is this really the case?

I was wondering if this one is the same case as it is on Easyjet or Ryanair, where on the first row (A,B,C side) there is no bulkhead, is it like that on IB?

On the A321 seems to be the usual layout, can anyone help me decide if I should go for the first row or the second?

Actually I would like to understand if the width on those seats is limited, because it will be more limited on the first row with the armrests immovable. Also (for the A320) I don't like the feeling to sit right at the door of the aircraft, is there a bulkhead?

During the booking, the BA agent asked me which seats I wanted and I went for the 2A, so maybe if anyone wants to make changes in the future could make a call to BA. (I know about Finnair's MMB but I am just mentioning the other possible option)

Yes the map for the A320 is correct. ISTR that the RH side has wardrobe/cupboard.

There is a bulkhead and it has a viewing pane in it so that the CC can see down the plane when seated.

Three other websites that I use for seat checking are seatexpert.com, seatguru.com and seatplans.com. These all display a full row of six seats across row 1 (the middle seat exists, but is not assigned in Business). Only "configuration 2" has the missing 1 DEF row, so this seems not to be common fleetwide. (N.B. Seatexpert does not show Iberia's aircraft; Seatguru does not show the second configuration.)

Thanks !

I found an interior photo of what seems to be Iberia's A320 2nd configuration.
Probably doesn't make any difference in the passenger's experience.

I would shy away from row 1 because there is naff-all room to stretch your legs out
