Kiva is giving new lenders $25 with which to make a loan. They are only giving away 4000 of them, but this is a great way to get started with Kiva, which I know is an organization greatly supported by Flyertalk.

(Disclosure: If I get 'x' amount of people to sign up and make a new loan by August 14, I get a free fleece jacket. I've been a supporter of Kiva for years now though and the fleece is not my motivation here.)

Okay, good to know. I haven't been able to get Kiva's website to load for me at all this afternoon, I'm sure it's pretty overwhelmed.
