I checked my HH online acct statement and saw that the Hampton I stayed at last month gave me my regular HH points and only 100 miles for my AA acct. Is this normal for Hamptons? This was my first stay for the new double double promo, is this how that works?

'Fraid so, pal. Not sure why this is, except that profit margins/room are certainly lower at Hampton.

100 points *is* a tiny amount, isn't it? Almost as ridiculous as Hertz' 1 mile/$ policy they instituted a couple years ago. (1 day rental = 42 miles!!! Wow!!!!)

Hapmton Inns only give 100 miles/per stay. However, Hapmton Inns are one of the best! I love them!

I guess AVIS' Mile program is better, 50mile/day!!

@ ~$59 per night, I can work with getting only 100 miles in return.

However, I did not see double miles for my 2nd stay this summer (I checked the 'Other Activity' section). Is Hampton Inn not part of the current double/double dip promotion?

My June Hampton stays have posted double miles and double points. Better get on the phone!

Maybe mileage credit should be determined by the rate instead:

LAX Hampton: $85/night, 100 miles
LAX Hilton: $88/night, 500 miles

But maybe that's just my experience.

I usually get AA miles but when staying at Hampton I elect to receive SWA credit as you get a 1/2 segment credit at both Hampton and Hilton. Alfred--

Thanks for the idea, I can use the SWA flight credits anyway. I would guess that with the double miles promo, I should receive credit for a full segment.

In addition, please be aware that Hampton is the only chain in the Hilton family where you do not get the spouse stays free "bonus" as an Elite member. You must indicate 2 people are staying in the room (if that is the case) even if you are a Diamond, etc.

yea its only 100 miles, whats the big deal.IMHO,it is a BIG deal, not too many Motels give you airline credit at all, also with the really cheap coupons from roomsaver etc. I see it as an extra especially when 4 stays gives me an extra 50,000 pts.

People lets stop complaining about every little item, yes I know there are some Hamptons that charge in excess of $100 per night, thats why I elect to walk esle where. Was just in Utah mts for 4 nights and found GREAT places 1/2 the price of Best Westerns where you earn 250 per night, so I stayed at those places sice it wasnt worth it for the miles.I NEVER once asked a BW place to match the mom&pop across the road who was just as new and good.

Hampton Inns credit a limited number of airlines - not as many as Hilton mainline brands.

For Virgin Flying Club members, they offer 200 miles (and Hilton offer 1,000 miles).

For this week's Hampton Inn stays paid for with Amex, I will get 400 miles and for my Hilton stay I will get 2,000 miles after the first stay. (... plus 50,000 bonus miles plus 4,000 4-stay bonus plus double base points after the first stay ...)

Stroll on Virgin and Hilton!

The stays have already posted but without double points and miles. I checked with the customer service department in Glasgow and they told me they were having problems crediting the double miles/points, but these should be resolved within a week or so.

I don't have a problem with the 100 mile policy, heck the rooms are at Motel 6 prices. What I do is credit Southwest Air, because you always get 1/2 credit (1 for double credit) and it only takes 16 credits for R/T anywhere they fly. Even though I typically fly United, by crediting Southwest with HHonors & Hertz, it's about 4 free R/T's per year (the same as 100,000 miles) versus earning about 35,000 miles on UA, AA or CO.

Does anyone know if you can get Hilton points and airline miles if you use the roomsaver coupons from roomsaver.com (http://roomsaver.com) ?
