Wyndham Rewards - Advice booking Ramada Kowloon

To keep this short I called to book the Ramada Kowloon in Hong Kong. After hold for about 10 mins got an agent who put me on hold again and then after a min hung up on me.

My questions are
how easy is it to book an international hotel using Wyndham points?
Is my experience typical or did I just get a lazy rep?

The price for the Ramada in Hong Kong is high. Your better off staying at the McDonalds-we-turn-into-a-free-hotel-at-night next door.
